Mixing electronics with vocal and orchestral elements and the kitchen sink, Not Just a Pretty Face was composed for the contemporary dance work of the same name by John Utans, performed in Hong Kong, and in a different form and title, Salt Lake City, U.S.A.
Presented here is my cut, this is how I originally wanted it to sound without the necessary compromises made for the dance pieces. Recorded 2004.
Just a little warning... this does have some ultra-low bass elements so if you're listening to it on little headphones or little speakers you won't hear some of it.
